The Thaifoodies team continues our series reviewing the rooms of some of Bangkok’s most popular hotels.   In this installment we review a one bedroom suite #1103 (5,199 Baht/$156) per night at the Asia Hotel Bangkok located on Phayathai road only a 1 minute walk from the Ratchathewi BTS Station –  (Exit 1 – Direct Access).  In this review the team reviews not only the huge, one bedroom suite but also the breakfast buffet at Tivoli Coffee Shop, and a Brazilian lunch at the Rio Grill!

The massive 500+ room Asia Hotel Bangkok has been a mainstay in Bangkok for over 30 years and still represents arguably one of the best overall values for a stay in downtown Bangkok in terms of location, cost, accessibility, restaurant choices and our favorite – warm old world Thai service!   If you are coming to bangkok for shopping then you will love the location of the Asia Hotel.  Walk straight to the BTS from the hotel and you can easily reach most the biggest shopping centers in Bangkok in air conditioned comfort!

  1. Asia Hotel Bangkok is an older hotel but what it perhaps lacks in chic it more than makes up for in terms of value, location, and old-style charm – check it out on your next visit to the BIg Mango!

  2. I am flying in from NY. Nice video you posted the decor has that dated brown un-appealing look to it but i am obviously not there yet to see it up close. Sometimes when hotels get to BIG things get neglected. We will see when i arrive and i will post on Google

  3. Better be cheap cause the room has almost zero appeal. No too harsh.
    5/10 for decor.
I know of several Bangkok hotels that offer much more appealing suites for around 50£, 60 €, 70 $..
How much is this one byw.

  4. Glad to notice that this woman's spoken English is improving (very, very, very gradually). Unfortunately, I still cannot understand most of what she says…

  5. I had stayed at Asia hotel many years ago, it looks renovated now. The best thing about this hotel is, direct connection to BTS and it is only one stop away from Siam Paragon.
